Elisa Padilla is Vice President at HBI and CFO of Century Energy Corp., the Helm Group investment vehicle in renewable assets. She has over ten years of experience in investment banking and has participated in transactions for a combined value of more than US$ 1.2 Bn.
As the CFO of Century, Elisa actively participated in the search of a new investor for Century and in the negotiation and closing of the LAREIF income fund, a joint venture between Century and AIMCo. Between 2013 and 2014, Elisa acted as CFO of LAREIF during its first year of operation, helping in the establishment and staffing of the new vehicle. Elisa returned to HBI in 2014 as director of the investment bank.
Elisa has broad and proven experience in closing project finance deals, with a strong emphasis in energy deals, where she has worked with multilateral entities, DFIs, and commercial banks. She also has vast experience in energy M&A transaction, where she has advised EPM, GEB, IC Inversiones, among others. She advised SoEnergy International in the analysis and search of financing for two 60 MW thermal projects in Argentina which were awarded during the government auction of 2016. Elisa has extensive experience in the healthcare industry in Colombia, advising one of the leading health insurance companies, healthcare service providers, and other clients of the investment bank. Elisa is now leading the refinancing with IDB of the Guayaquil water concession owned by Veolia. Prior to HBI, Elisa worked as a risk analyst and as a junior analyst with the head of one of the leading infrastructure boutiques in Colombia.
Elisa has an MBA from Universidad de los Andes and majored in mathematics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
